Bronze casting and marble
Fusioni d’arte 3v di Walter Vaghi, Origgio
This work, in cast bronze, consists of a marble base supporting the main structure. Nine bronze sheets are arranged side by side, facing outwards, to both the right and the left. The sheets represent the folded notes placed in the cracks in the Western Wall in Jerusalem. The candles are placed on the bronze sheets. The finished result is a low structure with two long, widely-extending branches. The shamash is placed at the center, making it the lowest candle on the hanukkiah.
