By suggesting a deliberately simple, playful interpretation, this work is taking up an educational practice that is very widespread in Israel, that of having children make a Hanukkah lamp with everyday objects. In this case it is jars of Nutella, which are arranged on a Plexiglas panel. The lights are glued onto the jar lids. The shamash is off to one side, well separated from the other jars.
