Murano glass, steel, tinplate, wax candles

Here the artist has seen in the lamp the opportunity for a creative gesture with the potential to express the invisible, finding, in the little convex tinplate disc and coloured filters of the lamp, an essential form tied to her childhood. A transparent wing, simultaneously dark and colourful, as though it were the light of a “necessary angel that always comes back and offers protection”, a symbolic wing, a sort of diaphragm between that which is, and that which is not. A vibrating vitality represented by the light that must be re-lit every day in order to rediscover and know oneself. The candelabrum was made in Murano glass with the help of glass artist Laura Morandotti.
