Plastic materials
This piece is created from a variety of coloured, jewel-like plastic shapes that are inserted into the golden form of a menorah, the traditional Jewish candelabrum whose arms symbolise the Miracle of Light. The shamash sits at the centre. The foot has plastic inlays reminiscent of the blue eye that has been used as a charm against the evil eye since the age of the Ancient Egyptians. It is believed that this little pendant, which is very common in the Middle East, can protect the wearer from the jealousy of others and evil in general.
