The work features a rectangular column crossed by stripes of black, ochre and white, which serves as the base for an eight-armed candelabrum. At the centre, the ninth light, the shamash, is easily identified by the Star of David motif. Next to the lower part of the column a dove is poised in flight, to symbolise the desire for peace.
