Iron and porcelain
The work consists of four iron bars that have been shaped and welded together, and which support, at their ends, eight lamp holders. The central stalk, the tallest, represents the shamash, which bears testimony to the Hanukkah message of determination and strength. The lamp holders, which are shaped like flowers, are made of translucent glazed porcelain. The flower of the shamash was treated with metallic salts before it was glazed.
