On a black background, the work shows a lit match painted in a realistic way behind which a window gives a glimpse of a Renaissance sculpture, a time symbolizing beauty, splendor, and rebirth. The canvas, which measures 60 x 60 cm, is enclosed in a wooden frame on which nine lamps are installed on bases shaped like the Shield of David. Three lights are positioned on the left side, three on the right side, and three on the upper one. The lights have different colours: two are black, two are blue, two red, and two yellow; the white one represents the shamash placed at the center of the upper side.
