Rispetto alla vita

The structure consists of a black iron rod treated with rust preventive paint and waxed on which candles and eggs are housed. The wax collecting plates are made of stainless steel and the candles are made of milled wood, like the eggs and egg holders. The shamash is made of polished iron and is placed in the central section of the structure, supported by a bird’s nest containing small plastic eggs. The concept expressed by the artwork is simple to understand and deliberately trivial: human beings can choose to eat (kill) or respect life (nest with eggs). However, the nest is higher!
