Bronze casting
This bronze casting is a wall lamp in the typical style of fifteenth Century French bronzes. It has a triangular back panel and a protruding front with floral decorations around the edge and eight candle holders. Higher up, a series of fine lines design an elegant door framed by fluted columns, inspired by the Arón ha-Kodesh (Torah Ark) in the synagogue in Casale Monferrato. To the side a butterfly and other elements from the plant kingdom are visible. At the top more flowers, scattered petals and leaves are engraved in relief and frame the ninth candle, the shamash.
