The work is a terracotta sculpture consisting of nine small sheets of red clay intersecting each other in a line. The front features a text in Italian, while the other side shows the same text in Hebrew: “G-d created this light but can’t extinguish it.” The phrase is inspired by Genesis and uses the practice of “cancellation” typical of the artist in the word G-d, crystalizing the second commandment in the Tablets of the Law.
