Iron and glass

The lamp consists of an asymmetric base with a flat iron frame with jagged edges surrounding a thin, almost transparent mat made of blue glass with yellow metal elements. The candles are arranged in a row along one side of the frame. The use of iron conveys, in the artist’s intention, the idea of stability of an age-old tradition; the light that is reflected and propagated in the glass symbolises the light that this festival celebrates.
