The work consists of a wooden structure covered in five thousand nails, standing on a round base. The branches of the lamp are arranged symmetrically, four on either side. The shamash is at the centre and higher than the others. In the repetition of the gesture needed to cover the structure with nails, artist evokes the repeated monological and ritual repetition of prayer.
