A labyrinth, a wall, a difficult but necessary road that might lead to peace. The passages that link one light to another are complex; the difficulties of relating, and the stiff, sedimented barriers make human relationships more difficult. Thus has the artist set out her thoughts on the theme of light – that which should illuminate every human action, but often does not. The light that illuminates the path of truth is found within the labyrinth. The shamash is easy to identify, taller than the others, and sits on a coloured aluminium candlestick.
