The artist created a sculptural hanukkiah with nine points of light, nine candles, placed inside the Star of David. The legs of the candelabra project and join at the corners of the lower triangle that forms the star. This slanted triangle, with the vertex pointing upwards (male principle), supports the upper triangle, whose vertex points downwards (female principle), where the nine lights are placed. The shamash is the nearest candle, the one closest to the one who sings the prayers and moves the flame to light the other candles.
